Channel Year in Review - 2022
14Conquering all expectations I had, I somehow managed to exceed the amount of productivity I had last year and upload even more despite not having much planned. I don't plan to make these kinds of videos a tradition but I felt it's a good idea to have another throwback as this will be the last active year for the time being.
This is also an amazing excuse to re-use content without effort to keep my channel's life support on for just for a bit longer!

1. 「Tales of Xillia 2: Alvin Solo 'On The Rocks' Mix」

↳ The much needed "fun run", as I was on the verge of a burnout after forcing myself to go through Musee for the THIRD time (one day my perfectionism will be the end of me..). May not have been the smartest idea to go through X2 again right away but Alvin is a familiar character for me way back from the early X1 days!
Unsurprisingly, as he is a character that actually does not suck in this game, breezing through the main story with him was a complete cakewalk. He has an outstanding dps as well as access to all elements and attributes, and as the cherry on top he doesn't require any rng which was VERY refreshing after all the Stun Blitz hell!
With that said however, I still don't really think of this as a real "run", as I did skip many of the bs fights but I also didn't spend much time recording any of the videos and I could definitely do much better and more creative than this.
But, it is supposed to be the fun breather run so I'll let it slide, for now.
2. 「Tales of Destiny DC: Stahn Solo」

↳ Easily the worst run I put up this year, lol. I'm already very dissatisfied with how a bunch of fights came out, some could say it can be excused as I'm fairly new to the game and it was my first run through the game, but I definitely had the wrong approach with this run and you know something's wrong when the highlights consists of just Explode crits lol.
Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on myself, but honestly if I couldn't say I at least optimized all the fights I would unlist the run. I feel like I could do much better and more creative combos if I just played more and remixed the entire run, but don't expect that to happen at least any time soon. As phenomenal and fun as the battle system is in this game, I honestly didn't have all that much fun doing this run as majority of the bosses are just, well, not fun lol.
It was also very hard to pick up any specific highlights for this video, since as I stated before the best parts of the run are the optimized crits with Explode..
3. 「Tales of Xillia 2: Musee 'All Out' Mix」

↳ This was a surprise to no one, for sure.. I just couldn't leave the DEFINITIVE LAST RUN incomplete! This wasn't as nerve-wrecking as the main story part of the run is, as the character episodes mostly consist of fun bosses. I also had solid plans for every fight that I further optimized on from the previous run and I can say I'm actually satisfied this time.
This is the run I've spent the most time and effort on perfecting, while I don't really know if it was that worth it in the end, I can say I'm finally satisfied with the results this time!

↳ Definitely the most fun videos I have worked on, Xillia's battle system lacking real combos with the counter system really makes it so everyone, and I do mean everyone, is more or less viable! I'm kinda sad I've already covered them all, I might revisit some of the earlier videos at some point as mystic artes work now!

↳ Barely over a month old, but it still played a big part of this year. Uploaded as the celebration of Xillia 2's 10th anniversary, I finally took on this project I had in mind for years prior.
I've spent way too much time with this game over the years and with Musee finally over, I felt this was the perfect opportunity to go out with a bang and bid farewell to this game for good.

I know I said no new projects for years, which is still true.. I started this one before I started my new university and since I'm going pretty much silent once this goes up for a good while, I may as well give a little teaser on what I managed to work on beforehand...
